crowd with many loi»(| runs and
spectacular catches. Chambers
scored early in the second quar
ter when the Adam* Brothers
teamed together and completed
a pass, Bob to Jim, who carried
it about 20 yards to score. Stuart
then came back strong and
scored just as the half ended 7-6
in Chambers’ favor.
The third quarter found both
teams surging back and forth in
midfield. As the fourth quarter
opened, Cooke, of Chambers,
snared a Stuart pass on his 30
yard line, sidestepped and whirl
ed his way toward the goal, pick
ing up ample blockers to carry
him across for another tally.
Stuart, not to be outdone, also
scored again on splendid cross
bucks and short passes. They
failed to score on either try for
point, so Chambers still held the
edge at 14-12. The dying
moments were full of thrills and
a last minute pass by Stuart near
ly upset the Chambers lead, but
a dandy tackle by Max Farrier
saved the day as the whistle
sounded the end of the fray.
Friday Chambers plays Wol
bach on their home field. Wol
is always tough. Come see and
hear another game.
