Marshall of Omaha, spent from Thursday till Monday in O’Neill, as guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Marshall. Miss Donna Jean Marcellus left Friday for Los Angeles, on her vacation. Mrs. Carlesle Washacheck of Omaha, arrived Tuesday to spend I several days here visiting her I husband and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Anna Donlin entertained a group of ladies at a bridge I party at her home last Saturday [ evening. A delicious luncheon was served and every one had a good time. Kathryn Ann Golden was taken to Sioux City Sunday even ing and Monday morning under went an operation for appendi citis. Kathryn Ann’s many friends hope she will soon be her old happy self again. Charles Fountain, representa tive of the White Horse Ranch at Naper, was in O’Neill on bus iness Tuesday. Mr. Fountain was a former resident of this city. Mrs. Ralph Tomlinson left Thursday for Omaha, where she spent several days visiting her husband and other relatives and friends before returning home Sunday. Mrs. J. F. O’Donnell left for Omaha Wednesday morning for & short stay. Paul Boisseree, with the Feder al Land Bank in Omaha, spent Friday and Saturday in O’Neill on business. Mary Froelich entertained the Primary and First Grade pupils Friday morning at a party in St. Mary’s gymnasium. Thtre were forty-five little folks present. John Brennan left Thurs day for Camp Campbell, Ky., where he is stationed, after spending the past eight days here visiting his mother, Mrs. M. F. Brennan and other relatives and friends. Seaman 2-c Francis Yantzi left Wednesday for Farragut, Idaho, after spending his leave here with his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Yantzi and other relatives and friends. Peter W. Duffy left last Thursday for Lincoln, where he spent until Saturday on business before returning home. C. C. Bergstrom was in Nor folk last Thursday. Weekes was honor guest at a one o’clock luncheon Wednesday at the M and M. Hostesses were Mrs. Ed Camp bell and Mrs. H. J. Birmingham, who had twelve guests. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The newspapers and printers of Holt County, or ganized as the Holt Countv Pub lishers Association, furnished to the satisfaction of the county officers and this Board, the county printing and supplies pur chased during the period Janu ary 1, 1943, to December 31, 1943, and made a considerable saving to the county without the sacrifice of quality, and WHEREAS, The Holt County Publishers Association makes request to this Board for a contin uation of the business of Janu ary, 1944. THEREFORE BE IT RESOL VED, That the Holt County Board of Supervisors in regular session this 24th day of February, 1944, hereby awards the county supply business to the newspap ers of Holt County for the year ending December 31, 1944, and that all printing, supplies, publi cations and all other supplies and office equipment purchased _ by the County shall be ordered w through the supply committee of " the Holt County Publishers As sociation.
