W. O’ Malley and other relatives and friends. Miss Angela Lyons, R. N. of San Diego, Cal., arrived Thurs day for a few days visit with her aunt, and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Merriman. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy with the class of 193?. She will leave soon for her home in Winner, S D., to wait her call for active duty with the U. S. Navy as a Navy nurse. day to visit his father, D. D. Hunt. He stopped in Omaha, where he visited his mother and other relatives and friends. Sergeant Don Mille, of McClel lan Field, Cal., is visiting friends here. Mrs. Jack Salmons and family will move into the Walter Stein home on Saturday. Miss Regina Clausson left Sun day for Omaha, where she plans on making her future home. Ruby Weisman left Tuesday for Osceola, Nebr., to visit her par ents and other relatives and friends. H. F. Gilday arrived home Fri day from Fairbault, Minn., where he visited relatives and friends over the holidays. Miss Mamie Kruntorad, of Pierce, returned to her home on Monday, after visiting relatives and friends here for a week. Clear Golden, who had been visiting relatives and friends here for the past week, left Tuesday for his home in Cheshire, Conn. Miss Betty Hinze returned on Tuesday from Fremont, where she spent Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Alva Siercks, and other relatives and friends. Hospital Notes Mrs. James Brennan entered the Hospital Saturday, for medi cal care. Miss Hildred McKim dismissed on Monday. S. A. Christenson, of Sioux City, received medical attention on Friday. Eagle Creek 4-H Club The Eagle Creek 4H Club met at the home of Maxine Mitchell on Sunday, January 3, with all members present. Books were given out by our leaders, and problems were talked over. Two new members, Richard and Bernadette Hynes, were vot ed into the club. Donald Stearns was elected to the office of vice-president, made vacant by the resignation of Max ine Mitchell, who will move to a new home soon. The next meeting will be held on March 28 at the home of Ed ward and Mary Joan Hynes. County Court Wayne Norman, of O’Neill, was arrested by Patrolman Meistrel on December 26, charged with reckless driving. He pled guilty and was fined $10 and costs of $3.10. Silas R. Barton, Sidney, Nebr., was arrested by Patrolman Meis trel on December 26, charged with reckless driving. He pled guilty and was fined $10 and costs of $3.10. Dale .Malsctullat of Page, was arrested by Patrolman Meistrel on January 1. He was charged with reckless driving, pled guilty and was fined $10 and costs of $3.10. Fees collected and paid over to the County Treasurer by the County Court, during the year 1942, amounted to $4,095.12, as compared with $3,043.37 for the yea* 1941, and $2,610.54 collected during the year 1940. Grattan Township Annual Meeting The annual meeting of the elect ors of Grattan township will be held in the City Library, in the City of O’Neill, in said Township, on Tuesday, January 19, 1943, commencing at 2 o’clock P. M., for the purpose of electing road overseers for said districts, mak ing the tax levy for the ensuing year and transacting any other business that may lawfully come before the meeting.
