A “16 CYLINDRER”
LAYING MASH...
AT A
“6 CYLINDER” PRICE
That’s what you get when you
buy Shamrock “16 Cylinder”
Laying Mash. It’s called a “16
cylinder laying mash” because it
is supercharged with 16 vitamins
and trace minerals supplied by a
special ingredient made by Sham
rock’s affiliated laboratory. And
it sells at a “six cylinder" price
because there’s no long distance
shipping, warehouse costs, etc., to
pay on this feed.
Everybody knows hens need
lots of vitamins and trace min
erals. So it stands to reason
health and egg laying can’t be
good if the egg mash is low in
these vital elements. Just try
SHAMROCK “16 Cylinder” Lay
Mash. It is not expensive and
has lots of pushing-power. See
what its rich amounts of 16 vita
mins and trace minerals will do
for your layers. Manufactured
and sold by
O'Neill Hatchery
O'NEILL- NEBRASKA
Clubs Tuesday evening. Prizes
were won by Mrs. Wiliam Froe
lich, Mrs. Frank Froelich, Mrs. E.
M. Gallagher and Mrs. Pat Harty.

Livestock Prices Steady;
Market Undertone Firm
Livestock receipts were fairly
heavy here on Monday and prices
‘were fully steady with a week
ago. All buyers were intent on
getting their feed lots stocked
with cattle prior to the deadline
on the government gas rationing
program. Cattle supplies here
were absorbed readily and the
market undertone was firm.
Lightweight steer calves topped
at $14.60 with the long end going
at $13.25 to $14.50. Heifers rang
ed mostly from $12.25 to $13.50
with a few reaching higher.
Yearlings looked nominally
steady with a top of $13.50 paid
for steers. The bulk of supplies
cashed at $12.25 to $13.25. Heif
ers in the yearling class bulked
at $11.50 to $12.50.
Cow supplies were heavy and
the price trends in this were
stronger, especially on the better
grades. The best beef cows made
$11.75 with a considerable number
selling from $10.00 to $11.25.
Others, carrying less flesh, placed
in the upper nines. Heiferettes
scaling 1180 pounds made $12.70,
that price being paid sparingly.
Bulls with weight cashed from
$10.80 to $11.00. The demand for
milch cows was good and these
sold by the head at fancy prices.
Heavyweight butchers sold
from $13.15 to $13.25 with lights
dropping another nickel. Sows
made $13.00 to $13.05. Feeders
ranged in price from $13.75 to
$15.20. A large number of little
pigs sold by the head at good
prices.
Sheep receipts were light.
Lambs topped at $11.10.
Next regular auction on Mon
day, November 23.
