That Sec. 4, Article IX, Constitution of Nebraska, be amended to read as follows: ‘Sec. 4. The Catholic Daughters held a business meeting at the Golden Hotel Monday evening and re freshments were served at the Elite cafe. The hostesses for the evening were: Mrs. Archer of Ewing. Mrs, Frank Clements. Miss Mamie Shoemaker. Mrs Charles Mullen, Mrs. Tom Donlir. and Mrs. F. J. Dishner, of O'Neill Jack Davis received word Tues day that he was to receive a com mission and he will leave Friday October 16. to report at the Lin coln Army Air base. He will be in the Army Air Corps Technical command for the duration. Jack was an employee of the Miller Bros Chevrolet company here for several years and a couple of years ago became a member of the Midwest Motor Company, when they took over the interests of the Miller Bros. Company. This herd was started 20 years ago with registered Hereford cows, but the reg istration has not boon kept up, but they have al ways kept with said herd for the last 20 years registered Hereford hulls. This is a very fine lot of good cattle. If you are interested in Hereford cattle, don’t miss this sale. And on Wednesday, October 14th at one o’clock p. m„ at the Jolley-Sullivan farm located five miles northeast of O'Neill, all the balance of the personal property belonging to said co-partership will be sold, which consists of a tine lot of draft horses, all small grain, corn in the field, about 75 tons of first quality hay, two stacks of straw, all farm machinery, including a good tractor and all attachments and feed grinder, both of which are practically new; metal granary , hog houses, and all other personal property.
