take notice that on the 4th day
of September, A. D-, 1942, Guy
Cole, plaintiff, filed his petition
in the District Court of Holt coun
ty, Nebraska, and commenced an
action against said defendants,
the object and prayer of which
is to foreclose a certain tax sale
certificate issued by the County
Treasurer of Holt county, Nebras
ka, to the plaintiff on the 9th day
of October, 1939, numbered 5005,
for the taxes for the years 1932 to
1937 inclusive, and which covers
the following described real es
tate, to-wit:

in Holt county, Nebraska.
That there is now due the
plaintiff on said tax lien and sub
sequent taxes paid thereunder

Sixty-five Dollars and Fifty-five
Cents ($365.55), with interest
thereon at the rate of seven per
cent per annum from September
2, 1942. and costs.

Mrs. A. B. Gladson of Omaha
came Sunday and will visit her
mother, Mrs. J. H. McPharlin,
until Friday.
Frank Spindler has received
word from his son, Allen Spind
ler, who is with the U S. Marines,
that he has been promoted from
Corporal to Sergeant.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kurtz and
daughter, Konnie Kay, returned
to their home at Wausa, Sunday,
after spending several days visit
ing Mrs. Kurtz’ parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Brown.
Mrs. Casper Pribil took her
daughter, Geneva, and Miss Ruth
Pribil to Sioux City on Monday,
where the girls will take a nurse
training course at St. Vincent’s
hospital.

Dr. and Mrs. J. L. Sherbahn
returned Sunday from Wayne,
where they had been called by
the illness and death of his
father, who pased awajj at Wayne
on Thursday of last week.

Mrs. Elma Evans of O’Neill and
Mrs. George Henderson of San

undergo a major operation at St.
Catherine’s hospital.

be a sophomore at Drake Univer
