Is Your Life
All Your Own?
“Is your life your own to do
with as you please,” is a question
a renowned medic asked recently.!
He also answered the question:
"Not precisely false, but utterly
unsound, because it shows a lack
of all sense of family unity and
dependence upon the home and
each other. Sometimes it is part
ly the fault of the parents, but as
one writer says, hosts of young
people today look upon the home
as merely a supply house; they
.are contemptuous of their parents
as “old fashioned;” they are ego
tistical, selfish, limited in vision;
and they think their affairs are
none of their parents’ business.
This describes a lot of young peo
ple, but fortunately not all of
them—to some the home still ex
presses the central meaning of
life itself, as it should.”
