BRIEFLY STATED
Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Bredehoeft
received word the latter part of
the week that their daughter,
Eleanora, had received a civil
service appointment in Washing
ton, D. C., and started on her dut
ies there last week. She is in the
accounting department of the De
partment of Labor. For the past
eight months Miss Eleanora has
been working in Birmingham,
Alabama, having a position there
with a large firm as stenographer
and bookkeeper, but her Wash
ington appointment is a distinct
advancement. Her many O’Neill
friends extend congratulations on
her success. Washington is getting
quite a colony of O’Neill people,
so that the O'Neill Club will have
to have larger quarters if they
wish to be able to care for all
the O’Neill people now employed
in the capitol city.
Mrs. Jacob Hoerle, of Southeast
ern Holt, was in the city Tuesday
and made this office a pleasant
call and ordered The Frontier sent
to her address so they could keep
posted on the happenings in this
big county of ours.
Mrs. Dale Asher of Page has
accepted a position with the
Gamble Store and started work
ing Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville McKim
and Mr. McKim’s mother, went
to Valentine Monday to attend
the funeral of a relative.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bogie left
Monday for Sioux City, Iowa, to
visit relatives for a few days be
fore returning to their home at
San Mateo, California. They have
been here for the past week vis
iting Mrs. Bogie’s mother, Mrs.

the funeral of her uncle, Dr. J.
C. Gallagher, who passed away
at his home Sunday of a heart
attack. Mr. Gallagher grew to
manhood in this city.
Mrs. Sam Nelson arrived Tues
day from Thermopolis, Wyoming,
to spend several weeks at the
home of her son-in-law and daugh
ter, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Allen
dorfer.
The Guild of the Presbyterian
church met at the home of Mrs.

Word has been received from
Orton Young, who has been in
the Veterans hospital for the past
two weeks receiving medical care
that he is getting along nicely and
expects to return home within a
week, a fact that his many friends
in the county will be glad to learn

District meeting that is to be held
at Ainsworth on May 17 and af
ter the business meeting various

there by the death of Mr. Kruse’s
mother, Mrs. A. Kruse, who pass
ed away Wednesday afternoon at
5:00 o’clock of a heart attack.

The M. M. bridge club had a
Dutch Treat dinner at the M. and
M. cafe and bridge at the home

Mrs. Frank Kubichek and
granddaughter, Sharon Hancock,
returned Tuesday morning from
Casper, Wyoming, where they
have been visiting relatives for

have one kit to turn in yet.
