Mrs. Dale Asher received word last Thursday from her husband that he is stationed at William Field, Chanuler, Arizona. Mrs. Tina Clift entertained a Bridge Club last Thursday even ing. Mrs. C. J. Gatz and Mrs. R. H. Parker won high scores. Abe Saunto arrived Monday from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to visit his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Saunto for a few days. Mrs. E. M. Gallagher entertain 1 ed the Contract Club Monday !evening at a 7:00 o’clock dinner at a local cafe and cards at her home. — Circle II of the Presbyterian 'church met at the home of Mrs. J. P. Brown Friday afternoon. I Mrs. Julia Graves was assisting hostess. Mr. and Mrs. R. Bright and son, ! Ardel, and Glee McKim took Dai el Bright to Wayne Sunday, ! where he is a student at the Teacher’s College. Donald Bowen has accepted a position in Scott’s Variety Store at Jamestown, N. D., and will leave for there next Sunday to take over the position. — Mrs. Melvin Ruzicka entertain ed the R. E. H. Bridge Club at her home Monday evening. High 'scores were won by Mrs. Arthur King and Miss Marion Dickson. Col. F. M. Brennan arrived Monday from Fort Knox, Ky., on a three months sick leave I rom the U. S. Army and he will spend it with his wife and family here. Mrs, D. D. Lyons and son, James, of Winner, S. D„ spent 'Friday and Saturday visiting at the home of Mrs. Lyons’ brother in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Merriman. Mrs. Harry Clauson went to Sheridan, Wyoming, Saturday morning, called there by the death of her brother, Henry Shaw, who died Friday night at the Veteran’s hospital after a long illness. % Mr and Mrs. Frank Pribil, jr., received a telegram from Lincoln last week announcing the arrival of a son at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Denesia on April 21. ;Mrs. Denesia will be remembered as Miss Angela Pribil. The Young People of the Pres byterian church entertained at a ‘farewell party honoring Bennett I Heriford, who leaves April 30 for the U. S. army at the church Monday evening. Picrtic supper was served in the church parlors and the evening was spent play ng games. Bennett Heriford left today for Omaha, where he will enlist in the U. S. army as a baker. G. B. Young, of Norfolk, was a caller at the home of Mr. and drs. J. M. Hayes Friday. Mr and Mrs. Archie Findley and son, of Tilden, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Findley of Atkinson, were guests at the home of Mr. nd Mrs. R. M. Sauers Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hayes en tertained the Dutch Treat Bridge Club at the R. M. Sauers home Friday evening. High scores were won by Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Sauers and low scores by Mrs. F. A. Parkins and C. F. Grill.
