Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Cary an? daughter, Mrs. Bill Hartigan, dflove to Cheyenne, Wyoming, last week end, where they spent a couple of days with Laddie Cary who is in an army camp at Cheyenne, About twenty drove up to O’Neill Sunday morning to attend services at the Methodist church and hear Rev. Rippey of Nash ville, Tenn.. who spoke in an able and interesting address. Church services here were dis missed for Sunday morning. Lorin Keyes visited his sister, Mrs. Bud Hansen at Creighton a ew days last week. Vere Butler from Moville, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Chet Fowler and son, Mark of Sioux City, and Mrs. Harold Bowers of Independ ence, Mo., arrived here last Sat urday night to spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Butler. Sun day afternoon they all drove to Bassett where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Rex Butler. Sunday vening Mr. and Mrs. Fowler re-! turned to their home in Sioux City and Vere Butler to Moville. Mrs. Bowers remained in Inman until Friday visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. . Butler. Kopecky and son, Louie, went to Newmans Grove and Lindsey where they spent the week-end with relatives and re j urned home Sunday. The Senior Class of the Inman High school with Karl Keyes and Mrs. McClurg left early Friday morning on their sneak, visiting Loth Omaha and Lincoln on their trip. Word has been received here by friends of the marriage of Miss Vera Noyes, youngest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. W. Noyes of Ceresco to Virgil Anderson, on April 19, the wedding taking place at the home of Dr. Noyes at 3 | o’clock in the afternoon. The home was beautifully decorated with plants, flowers and candel bra. The couple were attended y Julia Noyes, sister of the bride, nd Ed Fraiser. The bride’s dress Was a dusty pink redingate, while he bridesmaids was a powder blue redingate. After the cere mony and congratulations lunch was served from a serving table o thirty relatives. The couple have gone to housekeeping in Ceresco. Dr. Noyes and family ormerly lived in Inman. EMMET ITEMS Miss Ruby and Opal Fox and Miss Florence Winkler were at Lorina Kloppenborg’s Sunday for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Dever Fox and family of Atkinson were callers at the Charlie Fox home Friday evening. Miss Helen O’Connor suffered a minor operation on her ear Mon day afternoon. Helen and Mary O’Connor were Sunday dinner guests at the James O’Connor home. Clara Lowery, an O’Neill high school senior is practice teaching in Miss Grutche’s room for the week. Larry Schaffer was a guest at the Guy Cole home for supper Monday evening. Zane Cole accompanied by Lee Fanner and Scotty Shultz came up from Lincoln Saturday and spent Sunday and Monday at home. They left Monday after noon for Lincoln again. John Wagon, who has been in quarantine for the past three weeks, returned to school Mon day.
