Homer Mullen of Scribner spent New Year’s day with his wife, Mrs. Mullen. William J. Froelich returned to Chicago, Illinois, after visiting his family since Wednesday last. Lt., Chaplain B. J. Gatz and Mrs. James Walling. Henry lieimer returned to Lin coln Sunday to resume his studies at the University of Nebraska, af ter spending the holidays with his parents, Judge and Mrs. Louis Rcimer. Ruth Bauman two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bauman received third degree burns Tuesday morning when she lit a match catching her clothing on fire. She was burned from her chin down to her stomach and on her left arm. Mr, Bauman received severe burns on his hands while extinguishing the fire. Both Doctors were called and she is getting along as well as can be expected. William Bischof Jr., of Ne braska City, Grand Master of the I.O.O.F. lodge, of the state of Nebraska, and Will A Fatt of York, Grand Secretary of the same lodge were here and visited the Odd Fellow lodge Wdnesday night, at the regular meeting. They were on their way to Chad ron, where they are attending a special meeting of the Odd Fel lows where they will burn a mort gage at Chadron. Henry Schacht and son, An drew, left Monday for McAllen Texas, to look after some pro perty they own near that city. While there Andrew expects to enlist in the aviation corps of the Army or Navy.
