the All Stars were to play the
Chicago Bears. The first score
was made by Ken Kavanaugh of,
the Bears who caught a pass from i
Luckman and then streaked the ■

touchdown. The next six points
were made when Gopher George
Frank, of the All Stars, caught
Tommy Harmon’s pass for a touch
down, but both teams failed tc
kick the extra point In the second
quarter Harry Clark plunged over
sohn of Southern California for
the Bears second touchdown
Manders kicked the extra point
and the half ended 13-6 in favor
of the Bears. Then between halves
Commander R. F. Whitehead of
the U. S. Navy swore five mem
bers of the All Stars team into the
Navy They were Bob Saugau
