Miss Martha Hanley made her
annual Decoration Day pilgrimage
to this city last Thursday and Fri.,
returning to her home in Omaha
Saturday morning. While here,
Miss Martha made arrangements
for some added improvements to
her property on Benton street, near
Seventh street.
Mr. and. Mrs. Emmet Moore,
daughter Marilyn and son Tom, re_
turned Sunday from Casper, Wyo
ming, where they spent the week
end. Their daughter Dorothy
went to Du Bois to spend a few
weeks with Violet Meckum.
James Harty, who has been vis
iting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ben
Harty the past two weeks, left for
his home in Portland, Oregon, on
Monday.
Lester Porter of Atkinson, Ne
braska, was arrested by Patrolman
John T. Meistrell on May 30, 1941.
He was charged on two counts, no
operator’s license and no registra
tion, pled guilty and on May 31,
1941. was fined three dollars on the
first count and five dollars on the
second count, and costs.
Mrs. Elvin Benson, of Santa
Monica, California, visited at the
home of her husband’s parents j
Mr. and Mrs. Blake Benson, for a
few days, while enroute home from
Kenosha, Wis., where she took fac
tory’ delivery of a new Nash car.
Mr. Benson is employed as an elec
trical technician in the Douglas
aircraft factory at Santa Monica.
Mrs. Benson left for home Sunday
morning.

Staples, Minn, who have been visit

family, left for their home on Sat
urday afternoon.
