An ordinance vacating a certain
alley in the City of O’Neill, Neb
raska; providing for making a rec
ord for such vacation in the office
of the City Clerk of O’Neill, Ne
braska; providing for a record of
such vacation in the office of the
Register of Deeds of the County
of Holt and State of Nebraska.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and
Council of the City of O’Neill,
Nebraska:
Section 1. That the alley run
ning between Lots 9, 10, 11 and
12 and the South 86 feet of Lots
6, 6, 7 and 8 in Block 17 of Haze
let’s Addition to the City of O’Neill,
Nebraska, which alley runs through
and dissects said Block 17 be, and
the same hereby is vacated, annull
ed and discontinued.
Section 2. That a record of the
vacation of the aforesaid alley be
entered in the records of the City
of O’Neill, Nebraska.
Section 3. A certified copy of
this ordinance shall be furnished
to the Register of Deeds of the
County of Holt and State of Neb
raska and the same shall be re

Section 4. All ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict with

Motion by Phalin, Seconded by
Uhl, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be instructed to notify the Inter
state Power Co, in writing that the
now existing contract for Street
lighting purposes between the In
terstate Power Co. and the City of
O’Neill be terminated as of June
12, 1940. Motion carried.
Upon motion the City Council
approved the action of the O’Neill
Fire Department in removing the
name of A. N. Gunn, from the
membership roll and placing the
name of Ambrose Rohde in the va
cated place.
The following resolution was in
troduced and read by Councilman
Lindberg.
RESOLUTION
Whereas there are n f,reat many |
delinquent taxes against various1
properties in the City of O’Neill,'
Holt County, Nebraska, which are
subject to sale for taxes, and
Whereas the said City of O’Neill
desires to take advantage of the
right to purchase said delinquent
taxes and collect or foreclose the
same as provided for by Section
77-2010 Compiled Statutes of Neb
raska for 1929 as amended.
Now, therefore be it resolved
that the City Clerk be and he here
by is instructed to purchase tax
sale certificates on all real estate
situated in the City of O’Neill, on
which taxes are delinquent for all
years up to and including the year
1937, from the County Treasurer
of Holt County, Nebraska. Roll
was called on the above motion and
the vote thereon was as follows:
Aye: Miles, Uhl, Phalin, Lindberg,
McNally, Nay: None.
Upon motion the Council ad
journed subject to the call of the
Mayor.
