Now, on this 8th day of April,
A. D., 1939, this cause came on for
hearing upon the petition and ap
plication, under oath, of R. H.
Parker, Administrator of the Es
tate of Zebedee M. Warner, Deceas
ed, praying for a license to sell the
following described real estate of
the said Zebedee M. Warner, and
now the property of his estate,
to-wit:

Twenty-three, West Half of Sec
tion Twenty-four, all in Township
Thirty, Range Thirteen, and the
Southeast Quarter of Section Thir
teen, Township Thirty-two, Range
Twelve, all in Holt County, Ne
braska.

for the purpose of paying debts
owing by said deceased and allowed
against his said estate and the
costs and expenses of administra
tion, and it appearing to the Court
from said petition that there is not
a sufficient amount of personal
property in the possession of the
said R. II. Parker, Administrator,
belonging to said estate to pay
said debts, costs and expenses and
thut it is necessary to sell said
real estate, above described, for the
payment of said debts, costs and
expenses.

persons interested in this said es
tate appear before the District
Court of Holt County, Nebraska,
on the 15th day of May, A. D.,
1939, at the hour of ten o’clock A.
M., to show cause, jf any there be,
why a license should not be granted

Link Lyman, line coach of the
University of Nebraska football
team was in O’Neill on business on
Tuesday of this week.
Abe Saunto left Tuesday for
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he will
visit at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. James Risk.
Mrs. Mattie Soukup left Tuesday
for Lincoln to take her son, Francis,
back to resume his studies at the
University of Nebraska.
Hubert Menish, of Duluth, Minn.,
arived Tuesday and will spend until
Thursday here visiting relatives
and friends.
Mrs. Ed Johnson returned to
Omha on Sunday after spending a
few days here visiting at the home
of her sister, Mrs. T. S. Mains.
R. R. Smith, Sr. returned Sun
day from Omaha driving back a
new Ford car for the Lohaus Motor
Company.
C. T. Smith of Council Bluffs,
Iowa, arrived Sunday and visited at
the home of his son R. R. Smith for
a few days.

H. B. Hubbard came up from Lin
coln last Monday and spent several
days here looking after his real
estate interests in this city and
vicinity.
Lyle and Charley Green and Gor
don Anderson drove to Long Pine
on Sunday where they spent the
day fishing in the Long Pine
Creek. They reported fairly good
luck.
O’Neill Woman’s Club
The Woman’s Club meets Wed
nesday afternoon, April 19, in the
club rooms at 2:30 sharp.
This meeting will be for the elec
tion of officers, so please be pres
ent.
The following program will be
given: Solo “Brown Bird Singing”
by Lois Jean Robertson, accom
panied on the piano by Mrs. Pete
Todson. Mrs. A. L. Covvperthwaite
will review "Joseph and his Bro
thers” and “Young Joseph” the
first two hooks of Thos. Mannis
Trilogy. The next, two books of
the Trilogy will be reviewed in
May. Remember those joining the
club now and paying $1.00 will get
to hear these two splendid reviews
and their club dues will be paid
until May 1940.

Morningside College in Sioux City,
returned to her studies on Sunday
after visiting at the home of her
mother, Mrs. Esther Cole Harris.

Miss Eva Protivinsky, of Sioux

Saturday and spent Easter Sunday

Protivinsky.
Fred Walker, of Lincoln, was in
O’Neill on Monday visiting at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. James Mc
Nally. Mrs. McNally is a sister of
Mr Walker.
Word has been received by
O’Neill friends of the birth of a
son, Michael Allen, to Dr. and Mrs.
James McPharlin, of Salinas, Cali,
fornia, on Easter Sunday. Dr. Mc
Pharlin is a son o£ Mrs. Augusta
McPharlin of this city.

Company and the O’Neill Photo Co.,
has accepted a position with the
O’Neill Production Credit Associa
tion and started on her new duties
the first of the week.

Miss Nadine Coyne, who is at
tending college at St. Teresa’s,
Winona, Minn., arrived home
Thursday evening to spend the Eas
ter vacation with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Hugh Coyne.
Mrs. A. M. Turner and son, Jim
mie Paul, of Omaha, arrived Sat
urday and will visit here at the
home of her mother, Mrs. Teresa
Connelly for-a few weeks.
Jack Vincent left Tuesday for
Lincoln to resume his studies at the
University of Nebraska, after
spending the spring vacation here
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Vincent and other relatives.
Stanley Soukup went down to
Omaha last Sunday morning. He
returned on Tuesday evening and
brought a bride back with him, hav
ing been married at Papillion on
Monday last. They left here Wed
nesday morning for a visit with
relatives in the western part of the
state and we have been unable to
learn the name of the bride. Here’s
congratulations anyhow.
Judge Dickson and Reporter Mc
Elhaney drove to Loup City last
Monday, it being the date set for
the hearing of the condemnation
case brought by the city against
the power plant operating in their
city, as the city desired to take it
over. The owners of the plant
went to the federal court and se
cured a temporary injunction which
prevented the state courts from any
further action in the case until the
merits of the injunction case are
heard. They returned home Mon
day evening.
Mrs. R. R. Dickson entertained
at a one o’clock luncheon followed
by cards at her home on Tuesday.
