Melvin Ruzicka drove to Valen tine on Sunday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Davidson, daughter Elizabeth, and Mr. and; Mrs. John Mechale, of Casper, Wyo., arrived Sunday and visited at the home of Mr, and Mrs. R. R. Morrison. Mr. and Mrs. Nate Crowell, of Stuart, were visiting friends in O’Neill on Sunday. Miss Louise Kuskie, of Norfolk, spent the week end in O’Neill visit ing friends. Owen MsPharlin, of Omaha, was in O’Neill on Friday and Saturday on business. Mrs. Oral Wittchen and Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Gillespie drove to Omaha on Monday. Miss Mary Jardee spent Sunday in Stuart visiting at the home of her parents. Mrs. Georgia Raceley and son, Warren, drove to Norfolk on busi ness Tuesday. Abe Saunto left Monday for South Dakota on business, and to visit friends. Mrs. Bernard McNally, of Nor folk, was in O’Neill on Friday vis iting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Reardon. Mrs. Arlo Hiatt entertained the M. M. Club at a 7 o’clock dinner at the M and M cafe on Tusday night, followed by cards at her home. Mr. and* Mrs. Charles Prussa, of Atkinson, were in O’Neill on Tues day visiting their niece, Miss Ethel Tasler. Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Brown and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Lundgren drove to Valentine on Sunday on busi ness. Mr. and Mrs. Vic DeField and son, of Long Pine, arrived Sunday and are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Simonson. Arthur Snyder, who is the gen eral supervisor of the Council Ook stores in this district, arrived Wed nesday night on business. Warren Hall, of Burwell, was in O’Neill on Tuesday visiting at the home of his mother, Mrs. Georgia Racely, who has been ill at her home for the past week. Mrs. O. W. French, Mrs. Mattie Soukup, Mrs. Geo. Robinson and Mrs. Lyndell Stout returned Sun day night from Lincoln, where they had been visiting relatives. Jack Vincent, a student at the University of Nebraska, spent the week-end at home visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Vincent. ..-i. Ralph Oppen and Robert Biglin, students at the University of Ne braska medical school at Omaha, arrived Friday and spent the week end here visiting relatives. Mrs. Pete Hereford and Miss Agnes Reznicek left Sunday for Los Angeles, where they will visit relatives and friends.. Miss Rez nicek will remain for two or three weeks, while Mrs. Hereford plans on remaining for about two months. Mrs. J. F. O’Donnell returned Monday from Omaha where she has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O’Donnell and Mr. and Mrs. Z. Credel. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Calvert and son, Bob left Monday for Hast ings, where on Tuesday Bob will undergo an operation upon his ear. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Widman and daughter, of Plainview, and Mr. and Mrs. George Weidman and son, of Ord, spent the week end visiting at the home of John Robertson. Mrs. Theresa Connolly, who has been visiting at the home of her daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Art Turner and son, in Omaha, returned home Wednesday night. Charles Smith arrived in O’Neill Saturday night from Robinson, 111., and will visit here at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Smith, Sr., for a few weeks. Miss Ruby Wieseman and Miss Ethel Tasler entertained sixteen ■ guests at a seven o’clock dinner at j the M. and M. Cafe on Wednesday I night. Mr. and Mrs. Fred McNally re turned Friday from Omaha and Norfolk where they were on busi- j ness, and visiting at the home of their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs.1 Bernard McNally. Mrs. John Shoemaker, Frank Pribil, Sr., Jake Pribil and Dr. J. P. Brown drove to Sioux City on Tuesday where Mr. Pribil, Sr., re mained for medical treatment and Jake Pribil remained with him, the others returning home that evening. Word has been received in O’Neill of the death of Dr Freda M. Clark, of Chambers, who passed away at the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha on Friday, Janury 27. Burial was at Oakland, Iowa, on Monday, January 30. Anton Tasler drove to Hooper on -T— —---—— Sunday taking with him his daugh ter, Miss Ethel Tasler and the Misses Ruby Wieseman, Jean Me- ( Carthy and Marjorie Learner. They ; drove there to attend the funeral of Miss Irma Havehost, who was a former resident of O’Neill.
