Harry has held the position for a number of years and has made a good and faithful official. - - O’Neill relatives have received word of the birth of a son, named James Paul to Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Turner, of Omaha, on Tuesday, January 10. Mr. and Mrs. Turner are both former residents of O’Neill. Ed Davidson arrived this morn ing from Rochester, Minn., where he has been through the Clinic. While there he said that he called on Ed Jones, who has been there for a couple of months. He says that Ed is not in very good shape and has lost a lot of flesh. Abe Saunto left Thursday morn ing for Omaha, where his son, Fred, is in St. Joseph’s hospital, and was to be operated upon on Thursday morning. The opera tion was to be performed upon a bone in his arm, wl ich has been bothering him for some time, and which was orginally injured in an auto accident some time ago. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Montgomery, of Lone Star, Kansas arrived here Saturday and spent Saturday and Sunday here visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grady, and Mr. Mrs. A. M. King. Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery were on their way home from Casper, Wyo., where Mrs. Montgomery completed the proving up on a homestead claim which she had therp. A surprise farewell party was given last Saturday evening for Mr. and Mrs. John Liddy. The party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ernst and about 35 or 40 friends and neighbors at tended. An oyster supper, with all the fixin’s was served. The guests departed wishing Mr. and Mrs.' Liddy best wishes and saying they all had a fine time. A group of ladies from here drove to Orchard Thursday evening where they were entertained by members of the Orchard Eastern Star Chapter.
