Clearwater Sunday to visit friends
and relatives. Doris Luben, who
had been visiting in Clearwater,
returned home with them.
Little Mary Lou Conard has been
on the sick list this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle McKenny
left Tuesday for their home in
Darby, Montana. They have been
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Lowery and other friends and
relatives.
Jess Wills has been unable to
carry the mail for a few days

afternoon honoring Mrs. Merle
McKenney, formerly Miss Lucille
Lowery, of Darby, Mont., who is
here visiting. She received many

Mrs. Viola Searles,‘who has been
with her daughter, Mrs. A1 House,
at Ponca, returned home Saturday
night. She reports that Mr. House
who was badly injured in an ex
plosion, is improving rapidly and
is out of danger.

Dalton the first of the week.
Miss Hazel McDonald was a

Arthur Bellar, who has been
quite ill the past two weeks is much
better,

in O’Neill with her daughter, Mrs.
Lester Jonas.
A baby daughter was born to Mr.
and Mrs. Everett Young on No
vember 21. She has been christen
ed Arlene Ann. Mrs. E. R. Young,
of Atkinson is helping take care of
her new granddaughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Coleman of
Phoenix, and Mrs. Vera Hickman,
and mother, Mrs. William Bantz
and Fred Beckwith enjoyed dinner
with the Guy Beckwith family on
November 25.
A miscellaneous shower was
given for Mrs. Rex Beckwith, a re
cent bride, at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Verne Beckw'ith in O’Neill on
Saturday afternoon, Novemuer 27.
The afternoon was spent making
scrap books of the bride and groom
from the time they were a year

dainty lunch late in the afternoon..
Beryl Bock, son of Mr. and Mrs.
James Beck, who live about five
miles northwest of Emmet, received
a broken leg when he was struck
by a hit and run driver. Berly was
helping his brother fix a fence
when the accident happened.
Miss Leona Winkler spent last
week visiting relatives near Stuart.
