The rela 1 lives and a few of the immediate | friends all flock together, arms laden with bundles, trooping in | buidging with packages and ex I citement preparatory to the big turkey feed, to which all contrib I uated to and participated in. The I climax came, however, when Allvin Wallnofer reflected light from his uncovered head to get ready. After insistent calls the hungry bunch was gathered in the spacious din ing hall trying their best to look unconcerned about the savory odors which floated from the kitch en from the milk fattened turkeys that were soon to be devoured. Browned turkey gravey, mashed potatoes, celery, and cranberries were soon being reordered as dish after dish was cleared of its burden. When the pumpkin pie and fruit salads were followed by a chaser we felt like a fully innoculated puritan. After dinner they settled down and began to play cribbage at several tables. About 7:30 another feed was on served on the cafeteria style that was very appetizing and relished I by all. After everything was I cleaned away Miss Norene Barker i staged a nice program, with the aid of the children from the district l relative to the Pilgrim fathers that ! landed at Plymouth Hock. She j conducted the program very nicely and her program was very approp riate for the occasion. Those pres ent were: Pete Walnofer and fam ily, Stuart; Alvin Walnofer, Meadow Grove; Leo Steskal, Edw. S. Earley, Norene Barker, O’Neill; Pete Farrell and family, Atkinson; Bill Steskal and family, John Stes kal and family. There were, many little heads that were about down and out from eating so much Thanksgiving turkey, which they all enjoyed. Before departing they | all wished Mr. and Mrs. Steskal many happy returns of the day. E. S. E.
