Now on this 12th day of January,
1937, this cause came on for hear
ing upon the application of Mar
garet Thomas for a renewal of her
mother’s pension; and was submit
ted to the Court.
On consideration whereof, the
Coart finds that the said Margaret
Thomas is entitled to receive a
mothers pension of $10.00 per
month for the months of January,
February, March and April, 1037,
and no longer.
It is therefore, considered that
the said Margaret Thomas shall
receive a mothers pension for said
months, and that the board of sup
ervisors of Holt county, Nebraska,
make the necessary order, direct
ing the payment thereof.

policy of the company to install
underground conduits without mak
ing charge for same.

The applications of the County
Officers for office and Clerical help
for the year 1937 were presented
and read at this meeting.
After a lengthy discussion on the
monthly wage scale for clerical
work it was moved by Sullivan,
seconded by Carson that all Clerks
in the County Offices, also Deputy
Sheriff be apid a monthly wage of
$70.00 per month and that Book
keeper in the County Treasurer’s
office be paid a monthly wage of
$85.00 per month for the year 1937.
Carried.
WHEREAS, Chambers and
Southern Holt county has no
eastern road outlet, except 281
North and South, and
WHEREAS, a highway con
necting with State Highway 95
at U. S. Highway 281 and run
ning east to Ewing and there
joining Highway No. 8 would be
of great value and would meet a
demand for an eastern road out
let from that section,
NOW THEREFORE, 1 move
you that the board go on record
as strongly favoring the desig
nation and construction of a road
east from State Highway 95 to
Ewing and that we urge our
Senator to sponsor and work for
such a designation by law.
