Last week Milo Jones, who is
attending a CCC camp at Spald
ing, was home for a few days visit
Iwith home folks.
Mrs. Charles Fox and son. Harry
returned on Monday from a visit
at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Day, of Wood Lake.
George Nelson recently pur
chased a Chevrolet coach.
We are sorry to report the pass
ing on of Mrs. John A. Robertson
on Monday evening. June 15. Mrs.
Robertson has been an invalid for
several years but still she managed
to plan for all of her children, who
are all grown and most of them in
homes of their own. The husband
and children have the sympathy
of the entire community in their
loss of a kind and loving wife and
mother.
Will Abbott and family came
down from Dakota last week. He
reports that the grasshoppers are
destroying the crops and vegeta
tion in that state.
Midway will play Inman
Midway diamond June 28.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson spenj;
the weekend at the home of Pauf’s
grandfather at Omaha.
NEEDLE AND THIMBLE CLUB
The needle and thimble club held
their third meeting at the home of
Ella Eisert on June 11. All mem
bers were present for the latter
part of the meeting, including one
visitor. After "the business meet
ing sewing lessons were discussed
and also coming events. Club and
old time songs and yells were led
by our song and yell leader. Fern
Sorenson. The next meeting will
be held. June 25 at the home of
Leone Belzer. When the meeting
was adjourned a delicious lunch
was served by Miss Eisert. ***
