HOLT COUNTY.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Under provisions of Chapter 7
of the Laws of Nebraska for 1925,
a petition has been filed with the
Director of the State Department
of Agriculture and Inspection con
taining the signatures of sixty per
cent (6095) or more of the breed
ing cattle herd owners, represent
ing (5195) of the breeding cattle
as disclosed by the last assessment
rolls of Holt county, requesting the
tuberculin testing of all cattle herds
■within such county. As required
hy State Law, a public hearing
will be held at the office of the Di
rector of the State Department of
Agriculture and Inspection in the
Capitol Building, Lincoln, Nebras
ka, at 10:00 A. M., Monday, No
vember 25, 1935. Any objections
that are held against this petition
and the request made should be
filed with the Director on or before
that date, or those who would file
such objections should appear at
this hearing to present cause for
not accepting the petition filed as
being insufficient to satisfy the
statutes.

cause, if any there be, why a lic

said R. H. Harris, Administrator

ceased, to sell the above described
real estate of said decedent to pay
such debts and expenses.

Sealed bids will be received by
the County of Holt, O’Neill, Ne
braska, at the office of the County
Clerk of Holt County, at O'Neill,
Nebraska, up to 1:00 P. M. on
Thursday, December 5, 1935, for
the following purposes:
Bids on the purchase of the pres
ent Jail Building including all
brick, stone, cement, lumber and
all other material contained in the
building, exclusive of cells and
bath and toilet fixtures.
Sealed bids to include the remov
al of jail cells and the clearing
and cleaning up of premises.
Alternate bids for the tearing
down and removal of all brick,
stone, cement, lumber and all other
material contained in the building
and the storing of same at a desig
nated place.
Sealed bids to also include the
clearing of the premises.
Each bidder must submit with
his bid a certified check in an
amount equal to Ten per cent
(10%) or more of the proposed
bid.
The successful bidder will be re
quired to furnish a performance
bond in an amount equal to 100%
of the contract price.
The County of Holt reserves the
right to reject any and all bids and
to waive any or all irregularities
or technicalities in the bids if it
be deemed in the best interests of
the County to do so.

receive bids for the EXCAVATION
for New Court House Building
for Holt County to be located on
present Court House Square,
O’Neill, Nebraska, in accordance
with drawing and specifica'tions
prepared by John Latenser & Sons,
Inc., Architects, 466 Saunders
Kennedy Building, Omaha, Nebras
ka, these being on file in the.office
of the County Clerk, O’Neill, Ne
braska.
Bids will be addressed to the
undersigned, enclosed and sealed
in properly endorsed envelope and
filed with him not later than 1:00
P. M., Thursday, December 5, 1935.
All drawings and specifications
must be returned to the Architects
and all bids must be submitted on
blank proposal* which will be fur
nished by the Architects.
Each bidder must submit with
his proposal a certified check in
the sum of 5 per cent of the
amount of his bid as a guarantee
of good faith and that the bidder
will enter into contract for the sum
named in his bid, same to be drawn
in favor of County of Holt, O’Neill,
Nebraska. No bidder may with
draw his bid for a period of thirty
days after the date set for the
opening thereof.
The Contractor will be required
to furnish a performance bond in
an amount equal to 100 per cent
of the contract price.
The work is to be performed in
accordance with the requirements
of the Emergency Relief Approp
riation Act of 1935 and under the
Regulations of the Federal Emer
gency Administration of Public
Works. Attention is called to the
fact that not less than the minimum
wage rates prescribed in above reg
ulations must be paid on this pro
ject.
The County of Holt, U’NeiU, Ne
braska, reserves the right to reject
any and all bids and waive irregu
larities in the bids should it be
deemed in the interest of the
County to do so.

COUNTY BOARD OF SUPER
VISORS HELD AT O’NEILL,
NEBRASKA, ON NOVEMBER
19, 1935.
RESOLUTION DECLARING
THE RESULT OF THE SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD NOVEMBER
12, 1935, ON THE QUESTION OF
ISSUING $61,000.00 COURT
HOUSE BONDS.
Supervisor Carson offered the
following resolution:
WHEREAS, There was duly and
legally called a special election to
be held on the 12th day of No
vember, 1935, to vote upon the
proposition of issuing $61,000.00
Court House Bonds and taxes of
Holt County, Nebraska, and
WHEREAS, said special election
was in all respects held and con
ducted according to law on the day
and date as was set out in the
Notice of said Special Election,
and
WHEREAS, The Canvassing
Board, consisting of the County
Clerk and two disinterested electors
appointed by the County Clerk,
did canvass the result of said
election and examine the poll books
and find that there was a total of
4554 votes cast on the proposition,
2,374 being cast for and 2,175
against the proposition.
THEREFORE BE IT RE
SOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY SUPERVISORS OF
HOLT COUNTY, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. That there were
cast at the Special Election held
on the 12th day of November, 1935,
4554 votes, there being 2374 votes
cast for the issuance of Court
House Bonds and leveying a tax,
and 2175 votes being cast against
the issuance of Court House bonds
and levying a tax, and that accord
ing to laws relating to the issuance
of Court House Bonds and taxes,
said proposition carried, there
having been more than a majority
of all votes cast at said election
voting for the proposition, and
that the County Board do find and
declare that said proposition car
ried and that the bonds be issued.
SECTION 2. That the County
Clerk be and he hereby is author
ized to publish the result of said
election for two weeks in some
legal newspaper printed and of
general circulation in the County
of Holt.
SECTION 3. That all resolu
tions and parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith with the provis
ions hereof be and the same art
hereby repealed. *
The motion to adopt the said
resolution was seconded by Stein
hauser.
Upon roll call the following
voted Aye: Sullivan, Matousek,
Carson, Steinhauser, Stein, Walter,
Reimer. Nay: None.
The Chairman declared the Reso
lution duly carried.
