TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Under provisions of Chapter 7 of the Laws of Nebraska for 1925, a petition has been filed with the Director of the State Department of Agriculture and Inspection con taining the signatures of sixty per cent (60%) or more of the breed ing cattle herd owners, represent ing (51%) of the breeding cattle as disclosed by the last assessment rolls of Holt county, requesting the tuberculin testing of all cattle herds within such county. As required by State Law, a public hearing will be held at the office of the Di rector of the State Department of Agriculture and Inspection In the Capitol Building, Lincoln, Nebras ka, at 10:00 A. Levi Fuller, Jr., made a trip to Niobrara and return last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Woidneck, of Spencer, visited friends here last Friday. Henry Beckman was looking after business matters in Sioux City last Tuesday. Miss Nancy Dickson came up from Wayne Friday for a couple of days visit with the home folks. Phyllis, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell of this city suffered an attack of tonsilitis and remained out of school several days the last half of last week. Virgil Ott, John Gaddie, George Timmerman and Edward Kirkpat rick spent from Friday to Sunday jhcre with relatives. All are mem bers of the Niobrara CCC camp. Firemen here responding to an alarm at 5:30 p. m. last Friday found gasoline spilled around a tank at the New’ Deal filling station in w-est O’Neill had caught fire. Mrs. Joe Pongratz and Mrs. Joe Winkler called on Mrs. Ed. Heeb and daughter Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Beckwith and family spent Friday evening at the William Schmohr home. A helping hand bee was held at the Homer Ernst home last Thurs day when twenty-two men with ten wagons husked fifty acres of corn and hauled up two stacks of cane. The ladies prepared and served lunch at noon. Mr. Ernst has been laid up for three weeks with a broken leg and certainly appreciated this help and wishes to thank each one most sincerely.
