ORDINANCE NO. 160-A An ordinance to amend Section Four (4) of Ordinance No. 157-A of the City of O’Neill, Nebraska and to repeal said Section Four (4), of Ordinance No. 157-A as it now exists. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF O’NEILL. NEBRASKA. Section 1. That Section Four (4) of Ordinance No. 157-A of the City of O’Neill, Nebraska, be, and it is, amended to read as follows: No person shall, within such city sell at retail any alcoholic liquor, including beer, on the day of any national, state, county, or municip alection, including primary elec tion, during the hours the polls are open in said city. No person shall within such city sell at retail any alcoholic liquors, except beer, on the first day of the week common ly called Sunday. No person shall sell beer, at retail, on Sunday with in such city, except between the hours of 6 a. m. and 12 p. m. mid night. It shall be unlawful for any person to sell alcoholic liquors, including beer, within said City of O’Neill, Nebraska between the hour* of 12 o’clock p. m., midnight, and 6 o'clock a. m. Section 2. That Section Four (4), of Ordinance No. 157-A as it now exists be and it is, repealed. Leon Wyant came down from Stuart last Friday and returned on Saturday. Etta Lewis, of Bonesteel, S. D., left O’Neill Sunday for Hot Springs, S. D. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cook spent the Fourth with Mr. and Mrs. John Leisure at Venus. Mr. and Mrs. George Lozier and children were at Oak View' park the Fourth of July. Francis Hughes, Henry Beckman and Beach Medlin were at Lake view east of here for a rest the Fourth. Mr. and Mrs. George Van Every and sons, Marvin, Laverne and Dean, spent the Fourth at Oak View park. The Misses Roberta Arbuthnot, Geraldine Cronin and Rita Rear don transacted business in Norfolk last Friday. The Burlington Railway here celebrated the Fourth by hauling out nine box cars on the regular freight east. The O’Neill baseball nine played Bartlett the evening after the 4th under flood lights at Bartlett and lost, 10 to 4. Shobert Edwards, stationed at Ponca CCC camp, was with home folks from Wednesday until Sun day of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Vanderlinden and children were at Hartington and Oak View park where they celebrated the Fourth. Rudy Cederburg and Delos Ed wards, of near Venus, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Edwards last Tuesday. Mrs. Elmer Neal in response to information that her father died at Shawnee, Wyo., left Sunday night for that place by train. Harold Benton, of Burwell, and Miss Ona Moss, of Amelia, were granted license to wed in county court Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Romaine Saunders wrere up from their Amelia ranch Thursday, looking after business matters and visiting relatives. Mrs. Alfred Sanders,, her son, Gene, William Maxwell, Arthur Leach and Allen Spindler, enjoyed -9 a program in Knox county Inde pendence Day. FREE !
