as an appetiser for Joe Raggio, of New York. Pretty soon, if his luck
holds out, he may get down to the real business of dining. Joe weighs
a mere £R>0 pounds, and people used to bring him food just to see him eat
it. Then came the depression and Joe had to join a marathon.

keeper at the Central Park Zoo, New York, where the
big pachyderms are feeling the heat. The gigantic

over possession of an automobile

Surveying Spiked Bomb Trap

spot under the hood of his automobile where an employe on his estate
at Watchung, N. J., discovered a 15-pound bomb, wired to the ignition.
Kepresentative Eaton said he knows of no reason for the attempt
on his life.
