    Something New in Railroad Transportation
With accommodation for 36 people, this new type of
railway car was recently introduced in France to run
between provincial towns. It resembles a bier motor
bus on locomotive wheels and is powered with an
automobile motor. The new car can be run at almost
half the price of ordinary train fare. Monsieur Paga
non, French Minister for Transport inaugurated the
service. The car is here shown at St. Cyr, Paris.

Where Two Died in Train Wreck

Ilere is the scene of the smash at Dover, Del., where the train, carrying
the Boston Red Sox baseball team North from their Southern training
quarters, jumped a switch and plunged off the tracks. The engineer and
fireman were pinned under the locomotive, which turned over on ita side,
and killed. None of the ball players was injured.
A New Angle on Australian Yacht Race
With its single sail set at a precarious pitch the sloop
Utiekah makes a pretty picture as she skims over the
waters of Sydney Harbor, her lee rail awash under a
hard northeaster. This picture was made by a photog
rapher aboard another yacht which participated in
the recent regatta at tte Australian port.
A Bullet That Went Astray
Detective William Sinnott, of New York, is shown as he arrived heme
from Miami, Fla., after hia recent discharge from hospital. He is
exhibiting the bullet taken from his skull, whera it lodged after being
fired by Giuseppe Zangara in his attempt to assassinate President
Roosevelt.

Senorita Emila Docet, who won the
title of “Miss Spain 1933” at a re
cent society ball in Madrid. She
will participate in the contest to
pick “Miss Universe” later in the
year.

South championship by his victory
over Jack Toomcr, 7 up and 5 to

pionship play at Pinehurst, N. C.

sentative Carroll Beedy, of Maine,
goes the honor of being the young
est woman ever admitted to the bar
of the U. S. Supreme Court. She
was but 22 years old when she was
admitted to the bar of the District
Supreme Court, likewise earning
the ,:Baby” championship of that
bar.

with farm relief problems. Wicken?
is regarded as the best-informed
person in the entire country on the
subject of the farmer’s economic
problems. He assisted in preparing
the comprehensive report on farm
mortgages for Congress recently.
Enjoying a Golfing Honeymoon
Georgia Coleman, Olympic diving champion, is pictured with her hus
band, Roof Gilson, as they enjoyed a round of golf nt Pinehurst, N. C.,
where they are honeymooning. They were secretly married at Fort
Lauderdale, Ha., recently. Georgia may give up her aquatic pursuits
after next Summer.

This robin has attracted national attention by his unrelenting fight with
the mirrored reflection of himself in the window of a Kansas City, Mo.,
doctor’s offiee. Except for the time he takes to eat and sleep, the bud
