NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION
To the legal voters of the City of
O’Neill, Nebraska:
Notice is hereby given that on the
5th day of April, A. D. 1932, at the
regular polling places in said City,
between the hours of nine o’clock A.
M. and seven o’clock P. M. there will
be held a special election in said City,
at which election the following pro
position shall be submitted to the
voters of said City of O’Neill, Ne
braska, towit:
“Shall the City of O’Neill, Nebraska
issue its bonds in the sum of Six
Thousand Dollars, to be known as
Water Bonds, for the purpose of ob
taining money with which to purchase
tire extinguishing apparatus, said
bonds to be dated June 1, 1932; to be
in denominations of $500 each; to be
numbered from No. 1 to No. 12; to be
payable to bearer; to draw interest at
the rate of four and one-half per cent
um per annum, payable annually;
principal and interest of said bonds
to be payable at the office of the
County Treasurer of Holt County, Ne
braska; all of said bonds to become
due in twenty years from the date of
issue; but payable any time after
live years; each of said bonds to have
attached coupons representing the an
nual interest due and said bonds to be
executed on behalf of the City by its
Mayor and attested by its City Clerk
and the corporate seal of said City to
be attached to the bonds but not to the
interest coupons: And shall the proper
officers of said City of O’Neill be auth
orized to annually levy and collect
taxes in the same manner as other
municipal taxes are levied and col
lected, in an amount sufficient to cre
ate a sinking fund for the payment of
said bonds as required by law, and to
pay the Interest on said bonds a* the
same matures, on all taxable property
within said City?”
The ballots to be used at said elec
tion shall have printed thereon the

“Shall the City of O’Neill, Nebraska issue its bonds in the sum
of Six Thousand Dollars, to be known as ‘Water Bonds’, for the pur
pose of obtaining money with wrhich to purchase fire extinguishing
apparatus, said bonds to be dated June 1, 1932; to be in denominations
of $500 each; to be numbered from No. 1 to No. 12; to be payable to
bearer; to draw interest at the rate of four and one-half per centum
per annum, payable annually; principal and interest of said bonds
to be payable at the office of the County Treasurer of Holt County,
Nebraska; all of said bonds to become due in twenty years from the
date of issue, but payable any time after five years; each of said
bonds to have attached coupons representing the annual interest due
and said bonds to be executed on behalf of the City by its Mayor and
attested by its City Clerk and the corporate seal of said City to be
attached to the bonds, but not to the interest coupons; And shall the
proper officers of said City of O’Neill, be authorized to annually levy
and collect taxes in the same manner as other municipal taxes are
levied and collected, in an amount sufficient to create a sinking fund
for the payment of said bonds as required by law, and to pay the
interest on said bonds as the same matures, on all taxable property
within said City?”

Unless three-fifths of the legal rotes
cast on the proposition shall be in

The proposed work consists of re
surfacing 10.0 miles of Graveled
Road.
The approximate quantities are:

Department of Public Works and in
an amount not less than Two Hundred
(200) Dollars.
The right is reserved to waive all
technicalities and reject any or all
