Johnson of Brunswick receive attention in a Sioux City paper apropos of their 43rd wedding anniversary. Mr. Johnson has been section fore man for 40 years and in all that time no one has been injured on a section he controlled. In 1880 Mr. Johnson's father walked and took a homestead 23 miles south west of O’Neill. John Johnson lived some time in Sarpy county, Neb., where he saw grass hoppers hide the sun until chickens went to roost at midday. He saw the insects eat away wooden plow handles and bountiful crops. For 17 years the Missouri Pacific railroad employed Johnson as section foreman, and then he served the Bur lington for 23 years. He has been at Royal the last 20 years. When an in fant, 64 years ago, he was brought to Nebraska, and his wife has been in the state almost that long. Working under Johnson, three of his brothers, three sons and one son-in-law learned and became section foremen. Methodist Church Notes Benj. Kuhler, Pastor Rev.
