The Senior Class of the Atkinson High School enjoyed a party at the John Naber home Friday evening. The class was sponsored by Miss Carlson. Mrs. Ada Stahley and son Laverne and grandson, Glen Lorenze, assisted by Mervin Kee, are overseeing the farm while Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lor enze are absent. Mrs. Mary Negotski was taken to the Stuart hospital by Mrs. Rose Barrett, Thursday. Mrs. Niegotski is very ill; the cause of her illness is ftpdetermined. Henry Vequist trucked a double deck load of sheep and hogs to Sioux City for Mr. Frickle, He left Mon dy mprning and returned Tuesday. Mr. Frickle accompanied him. Raymond thanked them, smacked his lips and unwrap ped a nicely polished piece of wood. Joe Stein was looking over the new grade north of John Naber’s, Friday. The grading was delayed from Tues day of last week until Monday of this week when the machine was re paired and work commenced again. The new grade is a dandy and the Rock Falls folks are proud of it. Carl Lorenze underwent an opera tion for appendicitis at the Campbell hospital in Norfolk, Saturday morn ing. He was accompanied to Nor folk by his wife, his father, Fred Lorenze, Sr., and brother Elmer. The Pleasant Dale P. T. A. sent Mr. Lor enze a bouquet of flow'ers and every one wishes him a speedy recovery. Thursday night, November 13th, the Pleasant Dale P. T. A. held their | monthly meeting.
