Joe Winkler was transacting busi
ness in O’Neill, Saturday.
Frankie Fritton was attending to
business matters in Emmet Thursday
afternoon.
Mrs. Mary Beckwith and children
attended the Memorial Day services
in Atkinson, Friday.
Walter Rouse went on a fishing
trip to Swan Lake last week. Reports
are that he took along plenty of
angle worms for the hungry fa sir
Miss Margaret Cudy is a new clerk
in the McGinnis store at Emmet.
Miss Cuddy graduated from the
O’Neill public school last week; she
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wra.
Cuddy.
Mrs. Krska, accompanied by Velma
went to Rapid City, Sunday to get
her youngest daughter who has been
visiting at that place for some time.
Mrs. Krska is the wife of the Emmet
depot agent; they are new residents
in Emmet.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Beckwith and
daughter Myrlen left for Scotts Bluff
early Thursday morning and arrived
there late that evening. They report
a fine trip and good roads. Mr. and
Mrs. Vem Beckwith are farming
Ralph’s place this summer.

er stopped in Emmet, Thursday on
their return trip from O’Neill. Eileen,

That by doing this, it will prevent
great and further damage being done
to the undersigned persons and in all
probability will save and prevent a
multiplicity of law suits for damage
that naturally follow the changing of
the course of said stream and we re
spectfully request that you take im
mediate action in this matter so as
to avoid these things.

chairman.
Whereas, Road No. 362 cannot be
constructed along the section line be
tween sections 8 and 9 and 4 and 5,
Twp. 32, Range 13, and
Whereas, the public demands the
construction of said road, and
Whereas, public conveniences and
necessity and the public use requires
that a right of way be secured upon
which road can be constructed, and
Whereas, the owners of the real es
tate required for the construction of
said road have refused to agree with
the County Board as to the amount
of damages sustained by her on ac
count of the appropriation of her
land for public use by the County,
and,
Whereas, the construction of said
road will require the following land:.
Commencing on Road No. 362 at
the V4 section corner between Sec
tions 8 and 9 of Township 32, Range
13 and running thence North 22’ 40’'
East 32 60 chains to Station No. 1,
thence North 2’ 56’ East 9.41 chains
to Station No. 2, thence North 8’ 40’
East 33.58 chains to Station No. 3.
thence North 49’ 40’ West 22.80
chains to Station No. 4 on Road No.
362 on the section line at a poi"t
88.00 chains North of the point « ”
commencement.
Whole road line is 98.39 chai.i
taking 9.84 acres of land.
Whole area of land cut off on west
side is 70Mi acres.
70^6 acres includes road line and
all land west thereof.
Whereas, said real estate is own
ed by Rose Obermire and is not mort
gaged and there are no liens there
on.
Now, therefore, 1 move you that
the county attorney be and he hereby
is instructed to institute legal pro
ceedings for the condemnation of the
above described property for the use
of such road.
