Day or Night O'Neill, Nebraska COMPLAINT IS FILED AGAINST DOHMANS (Atkinson Graphic) Paul and Adam Dohman, farmers living west of Atkinsoto, werte in county court before Judge C. J. Ma lone yesterday charged with deposit ing dirt and other materials in the ditch along a public road. The com plaint was signed by F. O. Hammer burg of this city, road overseer of Atkinson Township, who says that material dumped in the ditch along the road west of Atkinson dams up the water and causes it to soften the grade thus making it impossible to maintain a good road in that partic ular section. He claims that were it not for the obstructions said to be plnced in the ditch by the Dohman brothers, the water would drain into Rock’s pond. This dispute has long been one of (interest to many Atkinson people nity where the damage is claimed, and to many who live in the commu The defendants deny that they de posited dirt or material in the ditch, but claim that the county negligent ly constructed a bridge and the town ship dug a ditch so that it converted the water from its natural course and caused it to run upon the defend ants lands. Attorney H. E. Murphy of Atkinson has been retained by the Dohman brothers. The case has been continued to August 15, at 10 o’clock a. m. Miscellaneous Dressmaking—Clara Aim. 34-tf. Farm Loans see R.
