will hold a “Donation” shoot at their
grounds east of O’Neill in the after
noon. The prizes were all donated by
the business men of O’Neill. The
prizes may be seen in the windows of
the Warner & Sons hardware store.

Continental Oil Company Will Have
Interesting Demonstrations at
O’Neill.
Mr. George Urlaub, manager of the
A. & R. Service Station, and Arbuth
not & Reka, local representative for
the Continental Oil Company, an-,
nounce that they arranged to have a
demonstration of Conoco Ethyl Gaso
line, to be held in the show room of
the Arbuthnot & Reka Garage. This
demonstration will be held all day
Tuesday, November Gth. Mr. Arbuth
not announced that a representative
of the Ethyl Corporation would be in
charge of the demonstration and would
discuss the benefits which are to be
derived from the use of this product
and the methods of its manufacture
will be explained in detail.
A special invitation have been ex
tended to people of O’Neill and sur
rounding territory to attend this edu
cational meeting and demonstration.
These meetings have been held all over
the state of Nebraska, and the inter
est given them by the motoring pub
lic has been very pleasing, and your
time will be well spent to take off a

Lincoln, Nebraska, were married at
the parsonage of the Methodist church
by the pastor, Rev. O. A. Fortune,
last Saturday morning at nine o’clock.
Howard Meyer and Edna Counc were
attending witnesses.
ANOTHER TREASURE HUNT
PASSES INTO HISTORY
The winners of the treasure hunt of
the preceding Sunday—Mr. and Mrs
Roy Warner and Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Lindberg sponsored the “hunt” last
Sunday evening. The clues seemed to
be extra hard ones and kept the hunt
ers busy until along toward the wee
hours of the morning.

REMARKABLE MOVIE SCENE
To “Rod’’ Roger . famed as a pilot
but unknown as notion picture ac
tor, goes the credit for performing
the greatest death scene ever record-)

trays an American aviator, mortally
wounded in a plane shot down in
flames from an altitude of 6,000 feet.
The sequence was desired fry Wil
liam Wellman, director of the now fa
mous air epic, “Wings” which will
show at the Royal theatre on Novem
ber 1. 2, and 3.
Taking the plane up through and
above the clouds, facing an electri
cally driven camera fastened to the
front of the cocknit. Rogers cut his
tiames and deliberately plunged the
“ship” into a tail-spin.
Wien scarcely 1,000 feet above the
eround, Rogers suddenly “came ’ o
lire.” He grabbed and pulled the
stick, straight out, circled around and
made a perfect landing.
