of the clerk for the purpose of ap
proving a transfer bonds deposited
by the Nebraska State Bank for se
curity of county deposits. All mem
bers present but McKim. Board call
ed to order by the Chairman.
To the Honorable Board of Supervi
sors of Holt County, Nebraska.
Petitioner, Nebraska State Bank of
O'Neill, Nebraska, respectfully repre
sents and shows to your Honorable
Body that heretofore for the purpose
of securing the deposits of certain of
the county’s moneys, your petitioner
deposited with E. F. Porter, County
Clerk of Holt County, Nebraska, a
certain number of United States Lib
erty Bonds, including $11,050.00 of
the Third/ Liberty Loan. That the said
Third Liberty Loan has been called for

j payment as of September 15, 1928, by
the Federal Government. That your
petitioner is desirous of investing the
proceeds from said bonds in purchase
of 4% Treasury certificates of series
T. J.-1929 Securities of the United
States. That such securities will be
of the same grade and value.
Wherefore, Your Petitioner prays
that your Honorable Body may make
and enter an order herein authorizing
and directing the said E. F. Porter, as
County Clerk of Holt County, Nebras
wa, to surrender $11,050.00 of said
bonds and to authorize in writing the
Omaha Trust Company of Omaha, Ne
braska, the depository for said bonds,
to invest the proceeds from the said
Third Liberty Loan Bonds in the said
Treasury’s certificates and to substi
tute said Treasury’s certificates for
said Third Liberty Loan bonds.

Mr. Chairman: I move you that the
petition of the Nebraska State Bank
of O’Neill, Nebraska, praying for an
order of this Honorable body directing
the County Clerk of Holt County, Ne
braska, to surrender $11,050.00 of the
Third Liberty Loan Bonds held by
him as security for the deposit of
county moneys, and to accept in lieu
thereof from the Omaha Trust Com
pany of Omaha, Nebraska, 4V6 Treas
ury’s Certificates of Series T\J-1929 of
the United States, and that he be, and
he hereby is, authorized and directed
to authorize and direct in writing the
said Omaha Trust Company to sur
render said Third Liberty Loan Bonds
and to secure and hold in lieu thereof
a like amount of Treasury’s Cer
tificates of the series above mentioned,
and that the said County Clerk be, and
he hereby is authorized and directed
to take such other steps as may be
necessary and proper to effect said
transfer and substitution.
