One man is saving his money to build a home and another is try ing to sell his for less than it cost to build it. One fellow is spending all he can make in taking a girl to the show and to dances, while another is using what money he has to get a di vorce. One man escapes all the dis eases we are heir to, yet gets killed instantly in an automobile accident; another escapes with only a scratch and dies with the whooping cough. One man stands off his creditors and goes traveling, while another stays at home and pays his debts. One man makes a nuisance of himself to all his neighbores by borrowing the home paper, while another subscribes for it and his troubles are ended. One man comes to the table in his shirt sleeves and is severely rebuked by his wife for n6t wearing a coat—her skirts are above her knees and her husband is vulgar. One man pays to get out of business and another does likewise to get in. The farmers want to live in town and the city resident thinks there’s nothing like living on a farm. One man says he does not want to be president of the United States any more, and ten thousand immediately signify their willingness to accept it. That’s the way it goes. BABY CHICKS.
