Butler ___ $50.00 To the Board of Supervisors of Holt County, Nebraska: We, the undersigned residents of Holt County, Nebraska, petition your honorable body to create and estab lish a County road along the follow ing lines, to-wit: Commencing at the north village limit of the Village of Page, Ne braska, on the section line between Section 18, Township 28 North, Range 9 and Section 13, Township 28, North, Range 10 West 6th Principal Meridian, thence north along section lines a distance of approximately thirteen miles, to the Southeast corner of Sec tion 1, Township 30 North, Range 10 West 6th Principal Meridian, from thence west one mile; thence north approximately twelve miles to Red bird postoffice, to there conrtpct with state road from Village of Lynch, in Boyd County, Nebraska. WHEREAS, certain citizens have filed with the Board petitions asking that certain roads hereinafter de scribed be designated as County Roads, and, WHEREAS, it appearing to the Board that such roads are laid out, platted public roads which are direct highways leading to and from vil lages and market centers and which roads are main travelled roads. Board met in special session at the call of the Clerk for the purpose of amending /resolution to Department of Public Works as to road work on Federal and State Aid roads in Holt County this year and to try and reach some agreement with the residents of different localities with regard to straightening some streams in the county for the protection of county roads, etc. All members present. Resolution: , Whereas on the 17th day of Janu ary, 1925, the board passed a resolu tion indicating that it was the wish of the board that construction on the O’Neill-Ewing Highway No. 8, begin at a certain designated place there in. And whereas it is now the wish of the board that construction on said highway begin at Ewing and be com pleted on trough to O’Neill as sur veyed and laid out. Now therefore be it resolved that said resolution above referred to be amended to read that it is the wish of the board that construction on said highway begin at Ewing, the easterly end thereof and be completed through t® O’Neill as surveyed and laid out. To the honorable board of supervisors of Holt County, Nebraska: Gentlement: The undersigned petitioners hereby respectfully states that he paid thru error the 1922 taxes on lot 7, block A, Chambers Village amounting to $7.71 and now asks that you refund to him the said amount of $7.71 as he does not own said lot 7, block A, Chambers Village, and the taxes for the same year on said land have also been paid by the rightful owner. The Misses Lura and Constance Grass called on Miss Grace Clyde last Thursday afternoon. Miss Mary Lush returned home from Wayne last week where she has been attending school.
