ities on the X-Ray, has undergone his seventy-first operation and lost
Sis eighth finger as his sacrlff.ce to the cause of science. The ray
burned finger was amputated by Drs. Follis and Davis. Left with but
the thumb and first finger of one hand, and only one eye as a result
Ml accidents met with during his experiments, Dr„ Baetjar, undaunted
by his sufferings, is continuing his work.

X-Ray Photos Sent by Wire
The possibility of almoet Instantaneous diagnosis of an injury by
specialists a great distance from the patient was demonstrated by the
receipt at the offices of the Victor X-Ray Company, in Chicago, of an
X-Ray photograph of a person’s hand that had been sent ever the tele
graph wires of the American Telephone and Telegraph Company from
New York. actual time of loading was about seven minute*.

Ancient Tablet Found in Asia ||

Probably the most historically Important monument of ancient
Babylonia ever unearthed, has been found at Ur of the Chaldees In Asia
by excavator* under C. Leonard Wooley, director of the Joint expedi
tion of the British Museum and the Museum of the University of Penn
sylvania. The stele measures fifteen by five feet, and shows Nannar,
the Moon Ood, seated on his throne. The tablet bears a pictorial record
of the building of the £lggurat hy Ur-Engur, who ruled at Ur In 3300
B. C. This photograph shows an almost similar tablet found some time
ago.
