of Francis and the Creation of the
Town of Holt Creek from a Part
of the Territory Thereof:
Mr. Chairman: I move you that the
prayer of the petition of H. Hookstra
and twelve others duly filed with the
clerk of this Honorable Body, pray
ing for a division of the Town of
Francis into two separate towns and
*hat part of the territory lying west
of the range line between Ranges
Fifteen (15) and Sixteen (16) be or
ganized into a new town to be known
and named Town of Holt Creek, be
granted and that it be, and hereby is,
resolved by this Honorable Body that
all that portion of the Town of Fran
cis as it now exists, and heretofore has
existed, which lies west of the range
line between Ranges Fifteen (15) and
Sixteen (16), and being more par
ticularly described as follows, to-wit:
All of Sections Nineteen (19), Twenty
(200), Twenty-one (21), Twenty-two
(22), Twenty-three (23), Twenty-four
(24), Twenty-five (25), Twenty-six
(26) Twenty-seven (27), Twenty
eight (28), Twenty-nine (29), Thirty
(30), Thirty-one (31), Thirty-two
(32), Thirty-three (33), Thirty-four
(34), Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six
(36), in Township Twenty-eight (28)
North, of Range Sixteen (16), West
of the 6th P. M., and Township

NOTICE.
Notice is hereby given that sealed
bids will be recieveed by the Board of
Supervisors of Holt County, Nebras
ka, for the construction of one Wood
and Pile Bridge approximately forty
feet long, located in Section 8, Town
ship 28, Range 11, over Dry Creek;
and the furnishing of material in con
nection therewith at a specified sum
per lineal foot for all piling used in
the substructure, and specified sum
per lineal foot for the superstructure,
all in accordance with plans and speci
fications provided by the Department
of Public Works, State of Nebraska,
are now on file in the office of the
County Clerk of Holt County, said
bids must be submitted on bidding
blanks furnished by the Department
of Public Works, State of Nebraska,
and must be accompanied by a certi
fied check in the sum of One Thousand
dollars, (81,000.00), said check to be
upon a solvent bank in Holt County,
Nebraska. As a guarantee, the suc
cessful bidder will execute contract
within ten days of such award. All
bids must be plainly marked on the
outside of the envelope “Proposal for
Bridges.”
At the same time and place as here
in above specified, bids will also be
received for the furnishing of all labor
and material for the construction and
reprair of all wood, steel and concrete
bridges and culverts in said County
of Holt, for the period of one year, as
necessity may require, and at the dis
cretion of the Board of Commissioners.
Such bids as requested above will be
received up to 10 o’clock A. M. on the
15th day of April, 1925, at the office
of the County Clerk, at O’Neill, Ne
braska, and will be opened by the
Board of Supervisors at their office
at O’Neill, Nebraska, at their next
regular meeting.
The Board of Supervisors reserves
the right to accept or reject any bid,
or reject all bids.

this 26th day of February, 1925.
