S. B. Coover was up from Page
Tuesday.
Henry Grady spent Wednesday of
last week in Atkinson.
A son was born December 8,th to
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bowden, of Stuart.
A son was born December 9th to
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Piskac, of Atkin
son.
Tom Brennan, manager of the Hard -
ing cream station, was in Omaha last
week.
A daughter was born December 10
to Mr. and Mrs. Flora Geseriech, of
Stuart.
A son was born on December 1st to
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schriver, of At
kinson.
A daughter was born December 7th
to Mr. and Mrs. Willard Linville, of
Atkinson.
Mrs. N. B. Coover, of Page, was
taken to Norfolk one day last week for
an operation.
Andy Davis came up from South
Sioux City, Nebraska, Saturday night
and spent Sunday with his mother.

James McGivny, traveling solicitor
for the Sioux City Stock Yards Oo.,
spent a couple of days in O'Neill the
first of the week.
A. L. Roberts and family moved to
Sidney, Nebraska, last week where
they will make their home. Mr. Rob
erts spent several months at" Sidney
this fall.
Kenneth Templeton is expected
home Friday and Carroll Templeton
will arrive Sunday from Hastings
where they are attending college, to
spend the vacation.
The Methodist congregation at Page
are planning upon erecting a new
parsonage one of these days. We
understand they have about $2,000 in
sight for this purpose.
Stuart Advocate: Aloys Babl was
up froip Atkinson to attend the
funeral of the little daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Schmaderer, which was held
in the Catholic Church, Saturday after
noon.

Bid Evans, purchasing agent for the
Siohx City Stock Yards Co., was look
ing after business in O’Neill from Fri
day until Sunday.
The neighbors of L. E. Ulry, living
between Inman and Page met at
his home one day last week and
gathered his corn. Mr. Ulry has been
in poor health for some time and has
been confined in a hospital in Norfolk.
The Misses Rose Mary and Ruth
Ann Biglin, accompanied by their
mother, Mrs. Will Biglin, and their
brother, Billy Boy, will leave Satur
day morning to spend Christmas with
relatives at Jackson, Nebraska. Mr.
Biglin will join them Monday.
M. E. Reardon, of Tama, Iowa, Mr.
and Mrs. J. A. Reardon, of Omaha, and
Mr. Edward Reardon, of Miles City,
Montana, will arrive Sunday to be the
Christmas guests of Mr. and Mrs. H.
J. Reardon.
Several cases of scarlet fever have
been reported in Page during the past
month. One case came down in school
and as a result the schools were closed
there last week, but as ho other cases
have developed and as there are no
other cases in the village, school was
reopened Monday.
Berger Bros.,of Opportunity, shipped
a car load of white faced steers the
first of last week. One of the best
loads of steers that have been brought
in from the north country this year.
They also shipped a carload of Duroc
Jersey hogs,the same day. They were
Affitil,. and May shoats and topped the
Omaha market
Atkinson Graphic: Quite a pleasant
farewell party was given the Earl
Martin family on last Friday evening.
Mr. Martin is leaving for a place near
Lincoln where he expects to engage in
the dairying business. Mr. Marin has
lived in this vicipity for the past four
years and will be greaty missed by
neighbors and friends.
The thirteen year old daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wamke, living east
of Page, died last Sunday evening
from complications following scarlet
fever. The girl has been sick several
weeks and but little hope for her re
covery have been entertained for some
time. Mrs. Warnke is also in a criti
cal condition from complications fol
lowing scarlet fever.

Mrs. A. J. Hammond came hon^e
Tuesday from a month’s visit yjrith her
daughter, Miss Mae, and don, Arthur,
at Omaha. Miss Mae and Arthur are ,
expected here about Sunday to spend
