A TALK WITH AN O’NEILL MAN
Mr. A. W. Gunn, Carpenter, Tells of
His Experience:
There is nothing like a talk with one
of our own citizens for giving hope
and encouragement to the anxious suf
ferer from the dread kidney disease.
We, therefore, give here an interview
with an O’Neill man:
“My kidneys acted irregularly and I
had to get up a number of times at
night to pass the secretions which
were highly colored,” says Mr. Gunn.
“I had a lameness in the small of my
back and kidneys that bothered me a
great deal when I would lift or bend
over. Doan’s Kidney Pills corrected
the trouble and I wasn’t bothered for
years until I caught cold which settled
in my kidneys disordering them I
took a few Doan’s again and they re
lieved me so I have not been bothered
since.”
Price 60c, at all dealers. Don’t

STATEMENT
fo Its Patrons:—The railroads are a part of every farmer’s farm, every manufacturer’s
factory, every merchant’s store, and, indeed, they constitute a vital part of every
industry.
1i v'ew> therefore, of the announced purpose of a few men in public life to continue
to use railroads as easy vehicles to political preferment, it is apparent that every
farmer, manufacturer, merchant, and, indeed, every thoughtful person everywhere
should devote some time to a study of railroad problems.
11 It is likewise apparent that the railroads should lend all assistnce possible to those
willing and, as we believe, anxious to learn the true facts.
1f Therefore, it is the purpose of the Chicago and North Western Railway Company to
present, through the local press in communities in which it operates, statements from
time to time bearing upon the particular railway problems in which our patrons and
the public are vitally interested.
11 This Company wants to continue to be a helpful factor in the material and social
progress of every community that it serves. It wants to render the best possible
service at the lowest rates consistent with fair compensation for its employes and a
reasonable return upon its investment.
II To. this end it is essential that the Railway Company and its patrons undertake, in a
spirit of mutual helpfulness, to arrive at a better understanding of the fundamental
facts underlying the problems which pertains to railway maintenance, operation and
financing.
11 b?lieve that the outstanding and predominating characteristic of the average
American citizen is his love of justice and fair play. That if the pubic be kept
the trUe fUCtS’ thC railroads have nothing to fear from public regulation.
i! !;e th<-,refore ask the readers of The Frontier to study the statements which this
Company will publish in future issues. We invite constructive suggestions and
earnestly urge a study of railway problems uninfluenced by political prejudice.
or xauure is or vital concern to all.
