The Woman’s Christian Temperance Union will meet Tuesday afternoon, April the 3rd, at 2:30 o’clock, with Mrs. Eltha Bressler. The Loyal Temperance Legion will give a Medal Contest program soon both in speaking and in singing. The W. C. T. U. met with Mrs. Eltha Sivesind March the 20th. Mrs. Jose Havens, President of the Holt County W. C. T. U. was present and gave a very interesting report of the state convention. PRUNING DEMONSTRATION. There will be a pruning demonstra tion at the home of Mrs. Margaret Brennan, in O’Neill, on Wednesday afternoon, April 4th, at 2 o’clock. E. H. Hoppert, Agricultural Extension Service, University of Nebi’aska, will be in charge of the demonstration. He will take up the different methods of pruning, systems of caring for trees, and will also talk on the differ ent sprays for orchards. Mr. Hop pert has been in this work for the University for a good many years, and is well qualified to give all the up to-date methods in this work.
