And Its Departments
A yard that has no equal
And it faces to the street
Is the one that makes the prices
That no other yard can beat.
Now we have a store department
And a building big and neat
And the prices that they offer
They are also hard to beat.
We also have a hay department
Which is right down by the track
Where we pay the highest prices
You just ask the other jack.
This is the largest institution
That this town has ever had
But we owe it to our grandpa
To our father who is dead.
We must try and keep a going
For this, he always said:
“Be sure to ’comodate the public,”
Now we owe this to our dad.
Now we’ll try and do that,
For this he always said:
“You must be kind to others,”
So we owe this to our dad.
Yes we owe it to our father,
He who made this place so big,
For he always held the ace of spades
And was not afraid to dig.
So now when he is past and gone,
But things are just the same,
We do it for the honor
Of ov;r father’s name.
We offer you Dark Karo syrup at 50c a gallon.
These cans are all full, so for that reason we don’t
w ant them in the store.
We also have some Instant Quaker oat meal that
you can cook in three minutes. Larger sizes 35c, for
2dc. Partly cooked this stuff is half stewed, so we
want, to got rid of this also.
Come in and buy your Christmas suit in our
store. We will save you money. Others have beat
you, w hy not give us a chance.
