Weir to Proposed Road: In the matter of the proposed road petitioned for by Henry Timmer mans, William Jamison et al. P-e tition filed by the County Clerk May 25, 1921, and report of M. F. Nor ton, County Surveyor, as special road commissioner, filed with the County Clery on June 18, 1921, and designated in Commissioner’s re port as Road No. 184: To the County Board of Holt County, Nebraska: The undersigned Fred B. Lee and A. Y. Weir owners of the land and on each side of and effected by the pro posed road, do hereby object to and protest against tHe establishment of the said road as proposed by the pe titioners and as proposed by the said commissioner’s report, and for the reason that the existing road as now laid out is sufficient for the purposes and needs of the public, and no neces sity exists for the proposed road; and further that the road as proposed by the petitioners therefor and by the re port of the commissioner would cut up the ranch owned by the undersigned to such an extent that it would not only require the extra cost of fencing but will diminish to a'very large ex tent the value of the other land in said ranch. And the undersigned further oppose and object to the es ■ tablishment of said proposed road for the reason that the damages which the undersigned would sustain are greatly in excess of the benefits which would accrue by the establishment of the proposed road, and the undersigned herewith submit their claim for damages if the said road as proposed is established in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,0,00.00.)
