County Judge—Well, never mind. I

USED TO IT.
Answers, London: The scene was
just outside the football grounds a few
minutes after the final whittle had
sounded, consequently every train,
tram and bus was packed to overflow
ing.
Jones was standing up, and when
the bus got into the town a woman
passenger, seated further up the bus,
had to squeeze past him.
As she did so the bus gave a lurch,
and she inadvertently trod on his foot.
It was an annoying incident on an
ordinary day. But his team had won.
Besides, she was a very pretty young
lady, and smiled sweetly as she said:
“I’m so sorry I stood on your foot!”
He smiled back and remarked:
“Don’t mention it! I stand on them
myself most of the tim,e!”
