Smith Jr., non-resident de fendants will take notice that on March 25, 1920, The County of Holt, as plaintiff, commenced an action and filed its petition in the District Court of Holt county, Nebraska, against said defendants the object and prayer of-said petition being to foreclose the tax liens due and owing the said plain tiff upon the following described real estate situated in the County of Holt and State of Nebraska, to-wit: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 in block ten (10), in Mathews’ Ad dition to O’Neill, the said tax liens be ing for the delinquent taxes assessed and levied upon said lots for the years 1910 to 1918 inclusive, amounting to the sum of $437.50 and interest there on at the rate of ten per cent per an numn from March 25, 1920. Plaintiff prays that the Court may ascertain and determine the amount due on said tax lions; that the said defendants may be foreclosed of all equity of redemp tion or other interest in said premises and that said premises may be sold according to law and out of the pro ceeds thereof the plaintiff may be paid the amount adjudged to be due it on its said tax liens, together with in terest and costs of suit. Converted Insurance: The War Risk insurance Bureau announces that more than 105,000 applications have already been received, asking perma nent insurance and to date they have approved 97,753 which are divided as follows: 49,203 applied for 20-year en dowment, 27,039 for 20-year life, 9, 647 for ordinary life, 5,850 for 30-year endowment, 20,393 for 30-year pay ment life and 3,612 for endowment at airp Bonus Bill Passes; The soldiers bonus bill will be acted upon by the house ways and means committee this week. Representative Fordney, of Michigan states that the sub-committees are working on the bonus problems and will complete their work early in the week and the full committee will act on the bill next Thursday, it will be passed on to the House for considera tion Friday, when it is expected to be adopted. School For Ex-Service Men: The K. of C. have opened a voca tional high school in Omaha for for mer service men, with over 1,000 mer enrolled in different courses. P. J McCarthy regional director has com pleted this years budget for the school which will be slightly over $40,00C and will be paid by the members oi this organization. He is in charge od several similar schools in western states and he reports that the schools are doing a wonderful work for ex-service men who are unable tc attend day schools. NOT YET HARDENED.
