WOMAN’S STATEMENT
WILL HELP O’NEILL
“I hated cooking because whatever
I ate gave me sour stomach and a
bloated feeling. I drank hot water
and olive oil by the gallon. Nothing
helped until I tried simple buckthorn
bark, glycerine, etc., as mixed in Ad
ler-i-ka.” Because it flushes the EN
TIRE bowel tract completely Adler-i
ka relieves ANY CASE sour stomach,
gas or constipation and prevents ap
pendicitis. The INSTANT action is
surprising. Gilligan & Stout, drug

War Savings to Continue.
The State Director of War Savings
has been advised that the Secretary
of the Treasury has determined upon
the issuance of a new series of War
Savings Certitficates and Stamps to
be placed on sale early in 1919 and to
be known as the Series of 1919. The
new Series will have a maturity date
of January 1, 1924, and in practically
all respects will be issued on the same
terms and in the same manner as the
present Series of 1918.
A new $6.00 War-Savings Stamp,
blue in color, bearing the head of
Benjamin Franklin, the apostle of
saving, and a former Postmaster
General, is in preparation; The new
Stamps will be placed on sale early in
1919.
The same Thrift Stamps and Thrift
Cards now in use will be continued in
1919 and will be exchangeable into
new Series of 1919 War-Savings
Stamps payable January 1, 1924, in
the same way as the exchange has
been made during this year into the
Series of 1918 War-Savings Stamps.
Because of chaotic conditions in
Europe, the armies must be maintain
ed at full strength for many months,
and, in addition, enormous expendi
tures wall be necessary for years in
connection with readjustment and re
construction work. The Treasury De
partment feels confident that every
individual in the country will con
tinue to give loyal support to the Gov
ernment by the purchase of War
Savings and Thrift. Stamps through
out the coming year.
A MERCILESS JUDGE
One Who Shows No Favor,
A merciless judge is Father Time.
Before him the weak and the wanting

years I was in bad shape from kidney
complaint, in fact, 1 didn’t believe
there was any hope of my being
cured, as I had tried so many reme
dies without being helped to any ex
tent My back ached constantly. I
often had to get up at night to pass
the secretions and the passages were
attended by a scalding sensation.
Di2zy spells and pains in my head
caused me much misery. About four
boxes of Doan’s Kidney Pills rid me
of all signs of kidney complaint.”
(Statement given July 25, 1907.)
On June 20, 1916, Mr. Zimmerman
said: “The cure Doan’s Kidney Plils
gave me has proven permanent. It
has been years since 1 have had need
of them, so I never fail to recom
