NOTICE OF CHATTEL MORTGAGE
SALE.
Notice is hereby given that by virtue
of a Chattel Mortgage dated Novem
ber 27, 1915, and given by O. E. Kent
to Citizens State Bank of Royal, Neb.,
to secure the payment of six promis
sory notes dated Royal, Nebraska, No
vember 27, 1915, and payable as fol
lows: $100 due December 1, 1915,
$100 due January 1, 1916, $100 due
February 1, 1916, $100 due March 1,
1916, $100 due April 1, 1916, and $500
due May 1, 1916, with interest from
date thereof at 10 per cent per annum.
Said mortgage being upon the follow
ing described personal property, to
wit: One National Cash Register; all
bar glasses; one clock; one writing
desk and chair; cigars; all liquor in
the saloon; all other articles pertain
ing to the saloon business consisting of
faucets, pumps, jugs, canisters, bot
tles, lines, cuspidors; all the above
described articles, situated in the
frame building situated on lots 30 and
31, of block 21, of the original town of
O’Neill, Nebraska.
That on the 29th day of November,
1915, said chattel mortgage was duly
filed in the office of the County Clerk
of said County.
Default having been made in pay
ment of the first three notes in said
mortgage, and there being now due on
said notes the sum o'f $1,024, no part
of which has been paid, and no actions
at law have been taken to collect the
same, mortgagee has elected to pro
ceed under the terms of said mortgage
and as provided therein will on the
11th day of March, 1916, in said
building offer foi* sale the above de
scribed property for sale at public
auction at te:i o’clock in the forenoon
of said day when and where due at
tendance will be given.
Said property being sold to pay the
amount due and payable on said notes,
secured by said mortgage.

Nebraska:

, the county of Holt and State of Ne
: braska, a special election shall be
I held for voting upon and there shall
: be submitted at said special election
; to the qualified electors of said county
; the following proposition: Shall the
• county of Holt in the State of Ne
■ braska issue its bonds in the sum
of $100,000.00 in denominations of
i $1,000.00 each, dated June 1st, A. D.,
■ 1916, due in twenty (20) years from
•
their date; said bonds to be nogotiable
in form and to draw interest at the
rate of five and a half (5%) per
cent per annum, payable annually,
principal and interest to be payable
at the office of the Treasurer of the
State of Nebraska in Lincoln, Ne
braska; said bonds to be payable in
even thousand dollar amounts five
years after the date thereof at the
option of said county of Holt:
Said bonds to be sold for the purpose
of obtaining money with which to
build and construct such wagon
bridges as are necessary across the
streams in said county of Holt so as
to place the public roads in said county
of Holt in condition for travel by the
general public:
And shall the proper officers en
trusted with the duty by law be author
ized, directed and empowered to levy
and collect taxes in an amount
sufficient to create a sinking fund as
required by law, to pay the interest
on said bonds and the principal of
said bonds as the same mature, on
all taxable property of the said county
of Holt in the State of Nebraska, the
taxes to be so levied not to exceed the
amount authorized by law.
The form in which said proposition
shall be submitted shall be by ballot,
upon which shall be printed said propo
sition, and beneath said proposition
upon said ballot shall be printed the
following:
For issuing $100,000.00 of County
bonds of the said County of Holt in
the State of Nebraska, and for said
Against issuing $100,000.00 of the
County bonds of the said County of
Holt in the State of Nebraska, and
against said tax.
And if the number of votes re
quired by law cast at said election
are in favor of said proposition as
submitted, then the same shall be
declared adopted: otherwise it shall
be declared lost.
Said election shall be conducted and
the result thereof ascertained in all
respects, as the general elections in
said County of Holt are conducted:
said election shall open at eight o’clock
in the morning and will continue
open until six o’clock in the afternoon
of the same day.

Supervisors of Holt County, Nebraska,
and attested by the Clerk of said
Board and the seal of said County
