Boy Sent to Reform Schdol. Broken Bow, Neb., Sept. 2.—Clydt Orvls, lacking one month of beinj eighteen years of age, has been sen tenced to three years in the reforn school by County Judge Holcomb, tht charge against him being statutorj assault. His victim was a flfteen-year old girl who lives near Milburn. Hac he been one month older, the boj would have received a sentence frotr three to twenty years in the peniten tiary. The sheriff has taken him tr Kearney. Nebraska Middy Allowed to Resign Washington, Sept. 2.—On account o1 alleged misconduct during the receni summer cruise, three Annapolis mid shipmen have been asked to resign Simon ,T. Lonergan of Nebraska, of th< first class, and Thomas L. Chalmers of New Hampshire, of the third class already have resigned and the author ’ties are awaiting the resignatior of the third, Manuel J. Jemail ol Rhode Island. The nature of the de linquencies was not disclosed. Man Drowned Near Plattsmouth. Plattsmouth, Neb., Sept. 2.—Oscai Lloyd, aged thirty-five years, who wa< drowned in the Missouri river sij miles south of Plattsmouth, was wel known as a sawmill operator. Callaway, Neb., Sept. 2.—The eight eenth annual conference of the Unitei Evangelical church of Nebraska closet its session after holding forth in thii city the past week.
