It’s a good thing, once a year, to stop and
think of patriotism and the sacrifices men have made for patriotic con
victions.
Decoration Day can be, and ought to be, observed everywhere in the country; and the men and women, who have done what they believed
to be^ their duty to their country, should be honored on such an occasion, by all who have shared in the good they tried to serve.. .And the
patriotic oration delivered by the orator of the day should be heard by Men, Women and Children so as to impress the young as well as the old
of the great patriotism that was displayed by the men who brought home to us all the flag of freedom.
But let us not forget that the “Nation’s Heroes” are not all dead; we can honor some of them living. I would be pleased to have you and
the family come and visit my store and become impressed with the many High Grade lines of Merchandise I handle. You will believe that
