period. His father accompanied him
as far as O’Neill.
P. J. Kennedy has a cow which,
on the morning of January 30, pre
sented him with three calves. They
are smaller than the average calf,
but are strong and lively.

visiting with his brother, O. W.
Baker and family.
Jacob Pfund retut-ned to Omaha to
resume his work with the American
Express Company at that place, after
visiting with his parents for nearly
a month.
We buy more horses and mules

horses and mares, from 900 to 1100

O’Neill, 4 miles east of Emmet and 2 miles north of the famous Widner cattle
ranch, commencing at 1 o’clock sharp, the following described property, on II
Tues., Feb. 17th I
100 Head of Cattle, All Ages
1 thoroughbred bull; 1 grade bull; about 50 head of bred cows and heifers,
some 17 of them giving milk, others due to freshen by sale day; 25 or 30 steers,
some of them two year old, weighing around 1000 pounds others long year
lings and yearlings; 25 head of 2-year old and yearling heifers. These
cattle are mostly reds, with a few white faces and a few black doddies. All
have been dehorned and all have wintered well.
20 Head of Horses and Colts
1 span of black mares coming 6 years old, weight 1200; 1 black mare 6
years old, weight 1000; 1 gray mare 7 years old, weight 1100; 1 brown mare
9 years old, weight 1300; 1 bay mare 8 years old, weight 1000; 1 span of bay
