The class meeting, held at our church every Sunday morning, is al ways an interesting and profitable service. It only lasts a half hour, but gives one a splendid start fora good day. The castor will preach both morn ing and evening next Sunday. The subject of our morning discourse will be, “Steadfast Faith,’’ and in the evening our subject will be, “Take Your Choice.” Everybody is most cordially invited to attend these ser vices. Beginning with Sunday evening, our service will begin at 8 o’clock in stead of 7:30 as heretofore. Sunday school at the close of the morning service. Our school is al ways interesting and progressive and we are glad to have all our friends tarry with us for the study of God’s Word. Junior League service Sunday after noon at 3 o’clock. Our Juniors are doing nicely, and the League seems to be growing. There is yet room for others, however, and we most cordially invite all boys and girls to this service. We had a delightful Epworth Leagpe servide last Sunday evening, led by Miss Fannie Miilard. The attendance was unusually good, and the interest did not wane till the very close of the meeting. We are expecting another interesting and helpful service at 7 o’clock Sunday evening. Miss Edna Howe will lead and we hope to see every Epworthian on hand to do his or her part. The prayer meeting was well at tended last week, and we had a very enjoyable and profitable service. Redbird item in Lynch Journal: Question to the people and taxpayer of the north part of Holt county: Are you going to pay taxes and interest on outstanding bonds, on road and bridge and then have no bridge. If the people of this part would call a mass meeting, name a date in the near future and all go to O’Neill in a body five hundred strong and tel) those sap heads' of editors, clanish merchants and weak-kneed county commissioners that the old style freight wagons did not look good to them and that a bridge was what we wanted and would have or we would have a new set of officers in O’Neill after the next election. There would be no delay then. The bridge would be built quickly. Now is the time we want the bridge: let us go after it hard, fight fire with fire. O’Neill wants all our money and wants us to drive 30 miles to spend it. Niobrara Subsiding. Spencer Advocate: The big gorge on the Niobrara, which threatened to change the course of the river and leave an $8,000 bridge high and dry on the north side of the river bottom, went out Monday and the water has resumed its old course in the main channel bed. However a channel of considerable width has been cut across the bottom land south of the bridge and it will be necessary to change the road to the east and the building of a small bridge. The road is passable now and parties are coming across from Holt county. Jack Lamb’s family moved back to their home down on the bottom Tuesday. The family were driven out several weeks ago by the high water. Furnished room to rent, to lady only. Enquire at The Frontier office.
